Fundraising Events

We are delighted by the number of people who have very generouslly contributed to our Maggie's Centres fundraising effort so far. To help keep the momentum up and make the whole thing a lot more fun we will be organising a number of fundraising events between now and the start of our MDS race in 2009. We will make all the details available here as we firm up our plans.

Friary Ceilidh Raises £1,800

Our second, more relaxed ceilidh in the Friary raise a tidy £1,800 for the HotRunning charity pot. The night was shared with Lisa MacPhail who is running the Edinburgh Marathon for Maggie's. Good luck Lisa!!

Team HotRunning Charity Ceildih Raises £14,000!!

Thank you to everyone who attended our ceilidh and to all those who supported us and helped make it such a special night. We are now well on the way towards our target of raising £25,000 for Maggie's Centres.

Maggie's Ceilidh - Saturday, 9th February

What a great night! Over 250 guests partied hard in to the night and also helped raise a rather handsome sum of money for Maggie's Centres in the process. The generocity of all the guests and acuction and raffle prize donors is much appreciated. We were all delighted to announce that once all the arithmetic was done we raised a quite outstanding £14,000 for Maggie's.

Charity Quiz Night

A big thank you to everybody who came along to our quiz night in the Fort Bar. The grand total raised during the evening tipped the totaliser at just over £1700 which pushed the total amount rasied by the Fort's quiz nights past the £200,000 mark!. Not that we're competitive at all, but we also broke the record for the number of teams at a quiz night.
